When fears for her son's safety in Iraq got
the best of her, Lynn Karp turned to the business
people she meets for coffee and bagels on
Wednesday mornings.
Last
week, the 27-year-old Army staff sergeant
thanked them for keeping his mother from experiencing
a nervous breakdown.
They
thanked him for his yearlong service.
The
West Boca Leaders presented Staff Sgt. Michael
Karp with a commemorative plaque during a
7:30 a.m. meeting at Wings Plus in suburban
Boca Raton.
